Meet your Butler
I'm David, a Reading homeowner and the founder of Everyone's Butler.
Like most people juggling work, family, and everything else life throws at you, I wasn't short of reminders. What I was short of was someone to actually do something about them.
It started with my boiler. When it was installed five years ago, the plumber promised to call and schedule the annual service. He never did. And between work and family life, I never found the headspace to chase it up myself. Then there was the MOT — every year without fail I'd suddenly realise it was almost due, spend hours trying to squeeze an appointment in at the last minute, and spend the interim quietly hoping I wasn't pulled over.
Then one evening I locked myself out of the house. Standing on my own doorstep at 9pm, I had no idea who to call. So I did what most people do — I googled "emergency locksmith near me" and called the first number I found. I had no idea if they were reputable, no idea what a fair price looked like, and no leverage whatsoever. I just had to trust a stranger and pay whatever they asked.
That moment stuck with me. Because it isn't just lockouts. It's every time something goes wrong at home and you're left scrambling through review sites at the worst possible moment, hoping you don't end up with someone unreliable or overpriced.
That's why I built Everyone's Butler. So that when something needs doing — whether it's planned or completely out of the blue — you already have access to a network of trusted, vetted local tradespeople. No more panicked googling. No more hoping for the best.
